Introduced in August 2018, the Logitech G502 Hero is no more than an updated G502 Proteus Spectrum with a new 16K Hero Optical Sensor. A mouse that retains its strengths and weaknesses by modernizing very slightly.

121 g regardless of the cable, the possibility of adding up to 5 small masses of 3.6 g each, the G502 Hero remains quite heavy for a mouse of 2018, especially when compared to a G502 Lightspeed which despite the addition of a battery for wireless operation, manages to weigh 7 g less than this G502 Hero. In absolute terms, this is still reasonable given the number of buttons on the mouse and its detachable metal wheel.

Capable of operating up to speeds of 10.16 m / s (7.6 m / s for the PMW3366 of the G502 Proteus Spectrum) and supporting acceleration up to 40g, the Hero 16K sensor that drives this G502 Hero ensures high performance. Conclusion

 

Without changing the design, the G502 Hero allows Logitech to continue to offer its flagship mouse in a fairly accessible wired version. Although it does not benefit from the thinning on the G502 Lightspeed when switching to wireless technology, it remains this excellent versatile gaming mouse that offers a comfortable grip, many buttons and high-performance performance . This is even more the case with the Hero 16K sensor that distinguishes this G502 Hero from previous versions.
